ATA Annual Stamp Show

In 2018, ATA held a joint show with the American Philatelic Association (APS) in Columbus, Oh. The show was subsequently held in 2019 in Omaha, Neb. These joint shows offer opportunities for more programs, exhibits and dealers. Both were the largest shows in the U.S. those years.

In 2020, ATA was to have joined with two philatelic organizations—the APS and The American First Day Cover Society (AFDCS)—for a show named the Great American Stamp Show in Hartford, Conn. The show had to be canceled due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Our next show, also in collaboration with the APS and AFDCS, was held in Rosemont (Chicago), IL from August 12-15, 2021, and all shows since then have been held as the Great American Stamp Show.

At our shows, the ATA exhibit section is the only all-thematic competition in the United States. Dealers specializing in topicals participate in the show, giving collectors an opportunity to shop with sellers from throughout the country and beyond. At the ATA annual meeting, members are updated on ATA projects and programs, and volunteers are recognized. ATA study units host free meetings and programs, open to the public, where those interested in the topic can meet to share and learn.

ATA Ambassadors at Shows

ATA members host booths at stamp shows throughout the U.S. and Canada. They have information about ATA and its services and a variety of publications, including ATA’s popular handbooks. Ambassadors are eager to meet topical collectors and prospective topical collectors. When you attend shows, look for an ATA booth and stop to chat.
